Railway precinct opening

On Friday 14 November, we welcomed government representatives including Jess Walsh, Minister for Youth and Mary Aldred, Member for Monash, to Leongatha to officially open the revitalised railway precincts.

This project was made possible by generous contributions from the Australian Government's Building Better Regions Fund ($3 million), and Regional Development Victoria's Regional Infrastructure Fund ($2 million), alongside South Gippsland Shire Council's $1 million contribution.

The opening was hosted at the Leongatha Railway Precinct which features a new playground, toilets, bbq shelter and connecting ramp to the main street. We look forward to seeing how these spaces are used and enjoyed by everyone.
