Shaping South Gippsland

Pre-Prep Consultation

Four-Year-Old-Kindergarten is becoming Pre-Prep and we are inviting parents, carers of young children, and people planning for a family to share their thoughts on the upcoming transition.

Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan

This Plan seeks to balance the needs of pet owners and non-pet owners and addresses seven core priorities, including officer training, pet registration, nuisance management, dog attacks, restricted dog breeds, education, and animal businesses.

Draft Community Engagement Policy and Strategy (2025-2029)

These documents guide how council meaningfully engages with the South Gippsland community. Key changes include a stronger focus on closing the loop by reporting back on community feedback to better share residents' views across the region.

Draft Governance Rules

This document defines how council meetings are run, and how the public can participate. The review aims to improve and clarify processes, address previous inconsistencies, and strengthen good governance practices.

2026/27 Annual Budget

Coffee with a councillor

Chat with your local government representatives over a nice, hot cuppa.

  • Date: Wednesday 22 October
  • Where: Venus Bay Community Centre
  • When: 12.30pm to 1.00pm
  • Note: Councillors will also be attending the community lunch from 12.00pm to 12.30pm

Further in-person engagement opportunities will be announced throughout November.
