South Gippsland Eat, Drink Play Festival celebrates local food, drinks, live music, kids' activities, and outdoor fun and other updates
Eat Drink Play Gippsland returns this spring at Leongatha Railway Precinct, showcasing regional food, drink, and live music. With daytime tastings, evening entertainment, and kids' activities, it's a family-friendly celebration of Gippsland.
Inspired by the Eat Drink Gippsland Guide, this festival unites the best of our region's food and drink producers during the day before a night of live music. Split into two sessions, the festival caters to those who are keen on a sip, sample and sit in the sun between 11.00am and 5.00pm, and those who want to dance the night away from 6.00pm to 10.00pm, or both!
Eat Drink Play Gippsland showcases local food, drink, and music across two sessions, with kids' entertainment at Leongatha Railway Precinct
Located at the newly redeveloped Leongatha Railway Precinct, it's a chance to wander around and sample Gippslan's finest food and drink in a lovely outdoor setting while local musicians provide a backing track. There is plenty of entertainment for kids, including face painting, a playground and mini-golf. To learn more, go to Visit Gippsland website.

Discover South Gippsland: Local Favourites from the Visitor Information Centre
More inspiration from Sue Miles, Volunteer at the Visitor Information Centre - "From Corner Inlet to the stunning beautiful Refuge Cove and Sealers Cove on the East coast, seeing the Prom from a boat gives you a totally different perspective of this large National Park.
Heading westward around the remote southern area past the Lighthouse and southern most point of the Australian mainland, the unique and magnificent Skull Rock is visible. The sheer magnitude and rugged formation with its large cavern is awe inspiring.
You can also kayak the scenic Tidal and Darby Rivers for serenity and lovely views of the Prom's unique vegetation."
Happy exploring,
The VIC Team.

Nyora Public Toilet Survey
Council is replacing the public toilets in Nyora's RSL park with new, modern facilities. As part of the replacement, it is proposed that the facilities be relocated to a more accessible part of the park as the current location does not comply with current guidelines.
There are two proposed locations for the new facility. Each one has different benefits. Council is seeking feedback on the community's preferred location. Submissions close Sunday 12 October 2025.
