Bass Coast Local News – Articles in the Bass Coast Local News section are either sourced from a Bass Coast entity such as the Shire Council, or are directly related to the Bass Coast region.

Baw Baw Local News – Articles in the Baw Baw Local News section are either sourced from a Baw Baw entity such as the Shire Council, or are directly related to the Baw Baw region.

Latrobe Local News – Articles in the Latrobe Local News section are either sourced from a Latrobe entity such as the Shire Council, or are directly related to the Latrobe region.

South Gippsland News – Articles in the South Gippsland Local News section are either sourced from a South Gippsland entity such as the Shire Council, or are directly related to the South Gippsland region.

Wellington News – Articles in the Wellington Local News section are either sourced from a Wellington entity such as the Shire Council, or are directly related to the Wellington region.

GippsTAFE News – News in this category is sourced from the Gippsland Institute of TAFE and is associated with education and TAFE projects in the region.

Movie Times – The Gippsland Portal also publishes weekly session times for the Mid Valley Morwell, Leongatha, Warragul and Bairnsdale cinemas. New times are published on Wednesday for the week starting the following Thursday.
