Bass Coast Shire Council hosts free creative industries workshop with marketing strategies, PR insights on 12 November 2025
Bass Coast Shire Council is hosting a free creative industries workshop in Cowes on 12 November, offering marketing strategies, PR insights, business support, and networking with local media.
Bass Coast Shire Council is proudly hosting an event led by our talented Bass Coast Cultural Venues and Business in Bass Coast teams to help locals in the creative industries learn some valuable marketing and PR tactics.
Attendees will learn marketing strategies, build campaigns, meet local journalists, and access council's Business Support at Berninneit, Cowes, on 12 November
Creative growth workshop
Attendees will gain industry information, build a marketing campaign and plan, get insights into the best ways to market for their audience and enjoy the Meet the Press session where they'll get to connect with and chat with local journos who can help them succeed.
Participants will also learn how council's Business Support service can work with you to support and grow your business. This free session is catered for and will be held in the community rooms at Berninneit, Cowes, on Wednesday, 12 November, 5 pm-7 pm. This workshop will be particularly useful for musicians, bands, theatre companies, artists and others who want to or book venues and events.

- Lauren van Strijp, A/Coordinator Business and Industry Development, Business in Bass Coast
Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Rochelle Halstead said "we are proud to present this event to help maximise the success of people working in the creative industries. Our venues enjoy a very high sold-out rate for our programmed shows and our team is keen to help bring this success to others in the creative industry in our region.
"With a thriving arts scene and the creative industries being a key priority for council, we look forward to this adding value to our existing services," Cr Rochelle Halstead said. Spots are limited bookings are essential, book via trybooking website.
