The Victorian government is introducing Pre-Prep in 2027, offering families up to 20 hours of early learning each week - marking the transition from Four-Year-Old Kindergarten to Pre-Prep. South Gippsland Shire Council is seeking input from parents, carers, and prospective families to ensure the program meets local needs.

We want to hear from parents, carers of young children, and those planning for a family to help shape how Pre-Prep is delivered locally. Why does your voice matter? Your feedback will:

  • Help us understand what families need from Pre-Prep in South Gippsland
  • Support local service providers to prepare for a smooth rollout on Pre-Prep

How to get involved?

Complete the online survey and join a focus group near you. You can attend a focus group session at:

  • Korumburra - Karmai Children's Centre
    Wednesday 8 October | 4.30pm - 5.30pm
  • Loch - Loch Recreation Reserve
    Tuesday 14 October | 10.30am - 11.30am
  • Leongatha - Early Learning Centre
    Tuesday 14 October | 4.00pm - 5.00pm
  • Toora - Primary School
    Tuesday 21 October | 11.00am - 12.00pm
