Iconic Gippsland captured
More than 30,000 free copies of the #lovegippsland calendar will be distributed across the region at the end of the year, with prizes on offer for the winning entrants. Mr Chester said the 2026 theme, 'Iconic Gippsland', invited photographers to capture the heart and soul of the region.
"Whether it's rugged coastlines, tranquil rivers, historic landmarks or breathtaking vistas, this year's theme is open to interpretation. My office has already received some 300 entries, and the standard is outstanding. Choosing the three winning images and 13 feature photographs will be a big task when entries close in a few weeks time," Mr Chester said.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a maximum of two entries per person. Photos should be landscape-oriented, between 4MB and 10MB in size, and entrants need to provide their name, hometown, contact details, and a caption for each photo.
