Mr Northe said the improvements works had transformed the old facility into a central, accessible community centre that could cater for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

"Funding for the $479,000 upgrade project came from the Victorian Government, the Latrobe City Council and Traralgon East community and in-kind contributions from the Traralgon Secondary College Hands-on Learning Program," Mr Northe said.

"I want to particularly congratulate participants of the Hands-on Learning Program at Traralgon Secondary College and the Traralgon East Community Group who made a significant contribution towards the success of the project."
