Planning for sustainability
The draft Plan is a requirement under the Local Government Act 2020 and aligns with the objectives of the Council Plan. It does not include specific dollar amounts for individual rates or services, these figures are detailed in the Draft Council Budget 2025 - 2026, which is also open for feedback until 21 May online or 27 May in person.
Wellington Shire Council Mayor Cr Scott Rossetti said the plan plays a key role in ensuring council remains financially sustainable while delivering on community expectations. "This plan helps us provide the facilities and services our community relies on. Everything from roads and rubbish collection to libraries and leisure centres. We encourage everyone to take a look and share their views," Cr Rossetti said.
