Nominations for the Gippsland Business Awards can be submitted by customers and businesses alike. Nominations are invited to be made using a simple online form or the paper version (now being distributed across Gippsland).
The Gippsland Business Awards allow the Gippsland business community to unveil and display the very best that the region has to offer.
This year, the Gippsland Business Awards categories have expanded to cater for a greater variety of businesses. The categories now include Environmental Performance, Manufacturing/Export, Primary Producer, Retailing, Accommodation, Hospitality, Commerce/Information Communications Technology, New Business, Service and Tourism.
Nominees taken from the aforementioned categories will go on to compete for the title of 2002 Business of the Year, the winner of which will be judged as the most outstanding business from all categories.
Business of the Year winner of 2001 was Jindi Cheese, hard-working family business. Infamous for a strong pride in tradition, Jindi Cheese is known for products that are of a high standard of excellence, particularly demonstrated in beautiful handmade cheese.
In addition to the Business of the Year, there is also the Gippsland Business Awards Hall of Fame. 2001 saw new plastics manufacturer Kiel Industries of Mirboo North become the inaugural inductees.
The Gippsland Business Awards represent opportunities to recognize and promote excellence in the Gippsland business industry sector. To get involved or nominate a business, click here to visit the Gippsland Business Awards website.
