Gippsland Leads State In Regional Jobs Growth
Regional employment increases in Latrobe-Gippsland by 6,900 over the year to July •25,900 more people employed in regional Victoria since November 2010 •Victorian Coalition Government building a better regional
Victoria Member for Morwell Russell Northe today said employment in Latrobe-Gippsland had increased by 6,900 over the year to July according to Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) figures.

Member for Eastern Victoria Region Danny O’Brien said the Victorian Coalition Government’s $35 million Latrobe Valley Employment Roadmap and $15 million Latrobe Valley Industry & Infrastructure Fund (LVIIF) supported local businesses in their endeavors to grow and expand and create local job opportunities.
"The Latrobe Valley Employment Roadmap has created 366 new jobs across Latrobe City Council, Baw Baw and Wellington Shire since December 2010," Mr O’Brien said
"In addition, over the past three years, the Regional Growth Fund has invested almost $430 million to support 1,500 projects, leveraging $1.7 billion in total investment.
