Information sheets, criteria and nomination forms are available by telephoning Wellington Shire’s Youth Development Officer, David Roberts on 1300 366 244. Details about National Youth Week 2005 are available from the website at www.wellington.vic.gov.au and www.youthweek.com .

Said Wellington’s Mayor Peter Gault: "National Youth Week offers young Australians many opportunities to celebrate their contribution to the community. For 2005 we are looking at making the week even bigger and would greatly appreciate the support that local youth and community groups can give us.

"This year marks the first time the council has initiated an awards program, making it an even better way to recognise what our younger residents do for our community."
