Road Renewal Work In CowesBass Coast Shire Council will be starting a road renewal project on a section of Church Street, Cowes between Albert Street and Wyndham Avenue on Monday, 28 April 2014. By Bass Coast - 29th April 2014 - Back to News Weather permitting, the works are expected to be completed by 19 May 2014.
Council’s Infrastructure Director, Felicity Sist, said the project is part of Council’s Capital Works Program for the 2013-2014 financial year.
"Council continues to support the need to improve and maintain its existing road assets through its road renewal program," Ms Sist said.
"This project forms part of the road rehabilitation program that will improve the condition of Church Street so it does not deteriorate further."
The works for this project involve:replacing the existing kerb and replacing driveways and sections of the footpath where required;renewal of the road pavement; andassociated road sealing works.
Council apologises for any inconvenience residents may experience during the renewal works and will make every effort to minimise the distruption to property owners and road users during construction.
