Across three days, audiences will hear stories from Korea to Morocco, Iran to France, Italy to New Zealand and beyond, all coming to The Union Theatre in Wonthaggi this April. "We are so delighted to have the WIFF again this year. It just keeps growing! We have really had a great spotlight on the community with Wonthaggi following the celebration of 100 years last year and now a huge focus on community again this year."

Patrons will be welcomed back to the venue following the recent short closure due to essential maintenance and upgrades - and what a way to be welcomed back! School holiday cinema will be kicking off with some amazing new blockbusters as well as the WIFF. I’m told there may be some special surprises in place as well" said Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Rochelle Halstead. Special events in the WIFF include:

  • Familiar Touch screening followed by Q&A Rose Capp - film critic and author of demystifying dementia.
  • Pike River - advanced festival screening
  • Signorinella Little Miss - Q&A with Director
