Bass Coast Shire Council awarded the tender for the Project at its December meeting.
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan said that the redevelopment will create an accessible, intergenerational space that offers a variety of challenging experiences while also providing natural shade and park amenities for residents and visitors. "Guide Park will become an inclusive regional scale playspace, catering for all ages and abilities. The design draws upon extensive community consultation with elements reflecting the Shire's coal mining history and amazing natural environment," Cr Whelan said.
