By Department of Sustainability and Environment - 23rd November 2007 - Back to News

This fire has not increased in size and the firefighters are close to getting it contained.

All other fire areas in the region are being monitored and patrolled and blacking out operations continue to ensure that no material within the fire perimeter re-ignites.

DSE, Parks Victoria and their partner agency staff are on high alert today in the hot temperatures and forecast storms ahead of the cool change later.

Reconnaissance aircraft are also keeping watch for any new fires.
