Ensuring community support

The Community Grants Program aims to support community initiatives, projects and events that support the local region. They have positive social and economic benefits for the broader community and ensure that community, volunteer and not-for-profit organisations have additional funds to support their projects.

Those who didn't have a chance to apply for Round One or were unsuccessful are encouraged to apply for Round Two of the program which will now open on 20 February 2023. Applicants are advised to contact council's grants officer on 1300 367 700 or grants@latrobe.vic.gov.au for assistance.

Valuing community projects

Mayor of Latrobe City, Councillor Kellie O'Callaghan congratulated the successful applicants. "The Community Grants and Sponsorship awards presentation night was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community groups and recognise the wonderful value their projects provide more broadly to our community."

"The Community Grants and Sponsorship Program is very important to our community and has resulted in the delivery of some truly outstanding projects over the years. The dedication and countless volunteer hours that our local community groups dedicate is part of what makes Latrobe City a great place to live. We are very grateful for all that they do," said the Mayor.
