Additional Green Waste amnesty for South Gippsland
Amnesty program to help residents clear out the fallen debris.
A green waste amnesty will run from 17 - 30 June to help residents and rate payers of South Gippsland Shire clear fallen trees and debris from their properties following last week’s storms.
Residents can now dispose of their green waste for free at any of Council's transfer facilities
What to check
Green waste does not include branches exceeding 300mm in diameter, tree stumps, coated timber or the following species: Blackberry, Ragwort, Broom, Mirror Bush, Kikuyu Grass, Hawthorn, Capeweed, Gorse, Blue Butterfly Bush, Pampas Grass or species that physically cannot be mulched such as palm fronds, Cordylines, Yuccas and related species.
