Diverse job opportunities await
Bass Coast region is fortunate to offer a range of incredible jobs for various skill sets in a range of environments - from offices, hospitals and kindergartens to entertainment venues, beaches and nature parks. Let your personality and great customer service skills shine with a new career working at Amaze N Things.
Bring your hospitality skills to one of the many cafes, restaurants and bars hiring. Have a background in health? There's plenty of allied health jobs on offer at the expo. If you prefer the outdoors, perhaps you'd like to meet with some of the staff at Phillip Island Nature Park who have a range of jobs on offer at the expo.
Job opportunities abound
In particular there are a large range of opportunities for people wishing to be employed within early childcare, health care, construction, hospitality as well as tourism jobs. We encourage all jobseekers - whether seeking new employment, looking for a change, returning to work, older individuals looking for post-retirement opportunities or those seeking further employment to attend. There will also be a range of traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities with local providers keen to meet potential new employees.
Council are also running a Roadmap to Employment: From Resume to Offer Letter webinar to prepare job seekers in the leadup to the Jobs Expos. The webinar will focus on how to create a resume and cover letter that makes you stand out and how to prepare for an interview.
October local jobs events
Bass Coast Shire Council, in conjunction with the Australian government's Local Jobs Program, South Gippsland Bass Coast Local Learning and Employment Network and the state government's Skills and Jobs Centre will be hosting a range of events in October including the Local Jobs Expo.
A physical jobs board will be available to display local vacancies, which will enable connection with employers who are unable to attend on the day. "We ask that all our local schools, higher education providers, job provider networks and other service providers get in touch and encourage people to attend. We have a surplus of jobs ready for our community as well as visitors to the region with upcoming seasonal work." said Mayor, Cr Michael Whelan.
