Mr Chester said, "Clean Up Australia is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is one way we can all make a difference to improve the environment in our local areas. The students at Gippsland Grammar have been participating since 2014, and they undertake a range of programs like 'nude food' to reduce packaging waste, and 'trash free Tuesday' in the schoolyard."
"The school is working to make sure our younger generation understands how to reduce waste and how they can take action to enhance the environment. It was terrific to be in Parliament House for the awards ceremony where Grade six student Phoebe East made a wonderful speech on behalf of her classmates," Mr Chester said. Clean Up Australia will be held this year on Sunday, March 2.
