Be Inspired In The Last Week Of Arts’ Festival

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be inspired and see some fantastic art in the last week of this year’s Creative Gippsland be inspired arts festival.

By Bass Coast - 23rd May 2011 - Back to News

Bass Coast Shire Council’s Arts Officer, Josie Kent, said hundreds of Gippslanders had already taken up the challenge and explored this year’s theme of ‘light’ in an array of different artforms.

"Artists, community groups and businesses have presented over 100 events this May, with more than 20 happening right here in Bass Coast," said Ms Kent.

"With so many wonderful art events happening across the region, Gippsland has certainly been the place to visit this May.

"If you haven’t had the chance to visit the festival, there are still plenty to opportunities to do so.

"You can Capture the Light at Mitchell House in Wonthaggi, experience Little Lights in Cape Woolamai, explore Island Light at Rhyll and try Drawing on Light in Cowes.

"Or perhaps you would prefer Seeing the Light at Archies Creek, looking at Reflections at the Inverloch Community Hub or viewing the light through a huge photographic exhibition in Cowes," said Ms Kent.

For full details of all the festival events on offer, go to www.creativegippsland.com.au or pick up a brochure from Customer Service or Visitor Information Centres.
