Melina Bath said Daffodil Day is deeply personal, recalling her father's passing, urging community support through donations, merchandise, and participation Hope through researchMs Bath said the Daffodil Day appeal is a well known fundraising initiative by the Cancer Council Australia offering hope to many while working to save lives through cancer research, prevention programs and support services. "The Cancer Council works tirelessly to raise essential funds through Daffodil Day in our local communities. These funds directly support research, education and services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer," Ms Bath said. Ms Bath highlighted the confronting statistic that one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, underscoring the importance of supporting initiatives like Daffodil Day. "By supporting Daffodil Day we can help reduce the burden of cancer and bring hope to those facing a diagnosis." Support Daffodil DayMs Bath said Daffodil Day holds personal significance, having lost her beloved father to the disease 32 years ago. "There are dates and moments that stir poignant memories, and Daffodil Day is one of them, as I'm sure it is for many locals." "I encourage community members to visit their local Daffodil Day stall, purchase merchandise or donate to support this meaningful cause if they're able.
