Bass Coast Shire Council is excited to announce a unique opportunity for the San Remo community to actively participate in shaping the future of their town. As we project significant growth over the next two decades, council is keen to hear your thoughts and insights to create a Town Plan that truly reflects the values and priorities of our residents.

San Remo holds a special place in the hearts of those who live, visit, or work here, and we acknowledge its deep significance to the Bunurong people, the traditional custodians of this land. As the fourth-largest town in Bass Coast, San Remo is renowned for its stunning coastal reserves, thriving native wildlife, and its rich history as a fishing village.

With projected growth on the horizon and an aging population, it is essential that we plan for the future responsibly and inclusively. To address this, Bass Coast Shire Council is currently developing a Town Structure Plan that will serve as a roadmap for the town's layout and provision of services in the coming years. This plan will encompass a wide range of aspects, from planning controls to transportation, infrastructure, urban expansion, and essential services.

Shaping San Remo's future

Council is actively seeking feedback and insights from our residents, visitors, businesses, and all members of the community.
