On Thursday 18 June at 7pm.  Tickets are free but will be strictly limited

Latrobe’s coordinator performing arts and venues, Kathleen Roberts said that the movie was inspired by true events.

"The film tells how a young English reporter, George Hogg, came to lead sixty orphaned boys on an extraordinary journey of almost a thousand perilous miles across the snow-bound Liu Pan Shan mountains to safety on the edge of the Mongolian desert. Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, the supporting cast includes Radha Mitchell, Chow Yun Fat and David Wenham.

"Critics describe the film as a story of hope and courage against a background of war, with a good old-fashioned helping of love, heroics and sentiment," Ms Roberts said.

Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting the Box Office on 5176 3559.
