Seniors Festival events in Latrobe City
Seniors in the Latrobe Valley are invited to a number of local events being held throughout October as part of the 2016 Victorian Seniors Festival.
Member for Morwell Russell Northe is encouraging seniors in Latrobe Valley to start planning and make the most of this years Festival."The Victorian Seniors Festival is a great opportunity for seniors throughout Latrobe Valley to enjoy activities and performances in our local area.
"The festival is a celebration for our seniors, who give so much to our communities. The events highlight the benefits of ageing well and keeping active, healthy and involved in the community," Mr Northe said.
Key events run from 3rd to 10th October this year. Additional festivities also take place state-wide throughout October.
Victorian Seniors Card holders can travel free on regional buses and unreserved VLine services from 3-9 October (not including Friday 7 October) and on Metropolitan Melbourne trains, buses and trams from the 2-9 October.
Events in Latrobe City include:
- 10.15am Kmart Moe Car Park
- 10.30am Coles, George Street, Morwell
- 10.30am Woolworths Traralgon Car Park
- 9am - Moe Senior Citizen Centre
- 9.30am - Morwell Football Netball Club
- 10am - Traralgon Football Netball Club
