West Gippsland CMA seeks a Catchment Planning and Climate Change Lead to coordinate strategy, partnerships, and projects. Full-time, flexible work available in Maffra, Traralgon, or Leongatha. Applications close 3 April 2025.
Catchment planning and climate change lead offers a permanent full time position. Enjoy a great work life balance with a hybrid working model based in either Maffra, Traralgon or Leongatha. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the West Gippsland Regional Catchment Strategy (RCS). The RCS brings together governments, organisations and communities to protect and improve the health of the land, water and biodiversity resources that are vital for sustainable communities and environments.

- Regional Catchment Strategy Coordination
- Develop and Manage Internal and External Strategic Partnerships and Relationships
- Project Management
- Strategy, Investment and Partnership Team involvement
Let's talk about you
We are looking for someone who will:
- Demonstrate experience with natural resource management planning and a strong understanding of the Regional Catchment Strategy
- Bring highly developed communication skills, specifically in stakeholder engagement and strategic planning
- Show highly developed analytical skills, specifically in refining the outcomes of stakeholder and community workshops into meaningful planning documents
- Have a sound knowledge of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, including an understanding of emerging nature-based markets
