Funding and completion

Council has appointed Planned Construction Pty Ltd after a competitive open tender process. The total project cost is approximately $300,000 and is jointly funded by the Victorian government's Growing Suburb Fund and council's capital works open space renewal program 2022/23.

The project is expected to be completed by late May 2023, subject to favourable weather, contractor availability, and material supply. During the construction works for Stage 2, the existing play area will be closed, and temporary fences will be in place. Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite during these works.

Stage 2 of the construction will begin in March 2023, Stage 1 of the construction included the installation of bespoke play items as well as planting, pathways and a basket swing
