Gippsland Art Gallery’s new advisory group welcomes community input

Wellington Shire Council is pleased to announce the appointment of a new advisory committee for Gippsland Art Gallery Sale.

The consultative committee is open and welcomes input from the community.

The committee includes: Dr Rob Ziffer (chairman), Fon Pape (East Gippsland TAFE’s visual arts co-ordinator), Esther Jago (visual artist), Margret Booth (artist and educator), Cr Charles McCubbin (Wellington Council representative) and Sue Fraser (artist).

There are presently two vacancies on the committee for a representative from the Gippsland Art Gallery Society and a general community position. The Director of the gallery will also attend the committee’s monthly meetings.

Wellington’s Mayor Cr Peter Gault said: "I welcome this new committee structure; it has a wealth of experienced arts people in its ranks, and I look forward to their input to the Gippsland Art Gallery –Sale. "
