East Gippsland Council introduces free Payble online service offering ratepayers flexible, convenient and automatic payment options for rates

East Gippsland Council has introduced Payble, a free, secure online service allowing ratepayers to automate payments, choose flexible schedules, check balances and manage rates conveniently.

Payble is an Australian-owned and operated company that has worked with local governments across Australia and New Zealand to offer ratepayers easier and more convenient payments. Payble allows ratepayers to choose from a range of payment options, including:

• Setting up automatic payments to pay in full or by instalments
• Setting up automatic weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments

This ensures that rates are paid on time. Ratepayers can also check their balance at any time and adjust their payment schedule if their circumstances change.

Payble offers convenient rate payments, including automatic full or instalment payments, flexible schedules, balance checks and adjustable payment plans to suit changing circumstances

Flexible payment options

Mayor Cr Jodie Ashworth said Payble provided another option for ratepayers looking for a payment method that suited their circumstances. "We know managing household expenses can be challenging and having flexibility in how you pay your rates can make a real difference," she said.

"Payble gives ratepayers greater control over their payments, allowing them to spread payments across the year rather than waiting for a larger bill to become due. It’s simple to set up, free to use and can be managed online, giving ratepayers the flexibility to choose a payment schedule that works for them," Cr Ashworth said.

Ratepayers can set up Payble through our website and follow the prompts. A mobile phone number or an email address is required to securely access the service. Ratepayers who cannot pay their rates are encouraged to contact us to discuss the support and payment options available. Find out more about paying your rates and Payble.
