Details of Latrobe City, Wellington and East Gippsland Shires funding from Victorian Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program 2023
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester says he is looking forward to more community projects being completed with an additional $7.8 million for local councils.
The allocation of funding under Phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCIP) will see Wellington Shire receive $3.1 million, East Gippsland Shire $2.9 million and Latrobe City $1.7 million. "The LRCIP was created by the previous federal government to assist local councils with funding for local roads and community projects that would otherwise take years to receive support."

Mr Chester said, "Across Gippsland, we've already seen projects like playgrounds, pump tracks, road safety upgrades and walking trail improvements delivered. "I will keep working with local councils to secure funding for projects that make Gippsland an even better place to live, work and visit."
