Contract to market Latrobe announced The Latrobe Valley Ministerial Taskforce Marketing Advisory Panel (MAP), in conjunction with Latrobe City Council, has awarded a marketing and communications contract to EnergyOne, a consortium led by Royce Pty Ltd. By Latrobe City - 6th June 2003 - Back to News The contract is to implement the first group of tactics arising out of the Marketing Communication Strategy, recently launched by the Hon John Brumby, Minister for State and Regional Development.
EnergyOne is a partnership between Royce, and local suppliers and partners who will deliver the project.
Chairperson of the MAP and Chief Executive Officer of Latrobe City, Richard Hancock, said the Marketing Advisory Panel was delighted to have EnergyOne on board for the delivery of the key tactics. "They have an excellent understanding of regional development and demonstrate a strong commitment to working with local businesses to maximise returns to our economy," Mr Hancock said.
EnergyOne, led by Royce, brings together a number of regional stakeholders and a range of well known local businesses including Sage Technologies, Smith Design Works, Phil Smith Design, LV Printers, Coal Country Printers, NAK Signs, DJW Productions and Lynda O’Donnell and Associates.
Lynda O’Donnell and Associates, will help EnergyOne manage regional input and implementation of the tactics. EnergyOne’s offices will be located at Sage Technology, 21 Hazelwood Road, Morwell.
Managing Director of Royce and head of the EnergyOne consortium, Richard Amos, said that the EnergyOne team was delighted to be working on such an exciting project. "We are looking forward to helping deliver real and ongoing benefits to the community and the region," Mr Amos said.
It is expected that the tactics identified within the tender will be rolled out over the next three months and will involve a substantial amount of consultation with stakeholder groups in the community. The EnergyOne consortium will use the framework laid out in the Marketing and Communication Strategy to engage businesses, residents and community organisations.
Mr Hancock said the project will positively change perceptions of the Latrobe Valley, which is critical to generating population growth, new investment, tourism and jobs. "EnergyOne will help the community deliver positive messages about the Valley to a wider audience," Mr Hancock said.
