The Thorpdale Potato Festival is the ideal day out for any carb lover. Created to celebrate the area's strong potato farming heritage, it has evolved to become a jam-packed day that the whole family can enjoy.

We're talking 'tato picking, stacking, throwing and eating, and stall holders selling every kind of fried treat you can think of. Marvel at the creativity of the "Hessians on the Field" event with outfits made from potato sacks.
There's even entertainment for those of us that aren't in awe of this versatile vegetable. There are sheep shearing races, wood chopping contests, plus a petting zoo and live entertainment. The Thorpdale Potato Festival is a loving ode to the area's strong potato farming culture, and all the profits from the day are reinvested back into the community. Come for the chippies and potato races, stay for the excellent vibes.

The Festival offers a fun-filled day for the entire family, with music, food, kids' activities, fashion, photography, cooking demos, and the popular 'potato races.'
