Baw Baw Shire community feedback is being sought on Gippsland and Latrobe Valley Transition Plan by 30 November 2022
The Latrobe Valley Authority is seeking community feedback to develop a regional transition plan that helps guide future changes in health and wellbeing, employment growth and economic opportunities across Gippsland.
The Gippsland Transition Plan will outline the shared vision and goals for the community by 2035. This complements existing transition plans currently underway across Gippsland in the key sectors of energy, forestry and agriculture. As new and changing priorities emerge within the region, the Plan seeks to identify the roles and actions for government, industry and the community, in creating and retaining quality, long-term local jobs for workers within these transitioning industries.
Your thoughts and reflections will help inform a brighter future for the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland, short survey is open now until the close of business on the 30 November
Get involved in the plan
Baw Baw Shire Council is playing an important role in the development of the Plan and encourages residents to get involved in the survey to ensure their needs are heard.
- The short survey will ask participants the following questions:
- What opportunities do you think industry transition will bring for our region?
What strengths do you think we can build upon for a positive and proactive transition to a vibrant and inclusive region in 2035?
This consultation opportunity is open until close of business on 30 November 2022 and can be accessed via the link: Latrobe Valley and Gippsland Transition Plan Survey 2022. The knowledge, experience, expertise and stories from the community will inform the vision, goals and guiding principles set out in the transition plan, as well as its ongoing implementation.
