Korumburra Men's Shed prepares to move into a new venue at local train station
The Nationals Member for Gippsland South, Danny O'Brien has shared some good news with the Milpara Community House and Korumburra Men's Shed as they prepare to move into a new venue at Korumburra train station.
The Korumburra Men's Shed, under the auspices of Milpara, is moving into the large goods shed located at the Bridge Street end of the Korumburra Railway Station. VicTrack has been working to prepare the site, however the floor of the shed was not concreted which prompted a plea for help from the Men's Shed to Mr O'Brien.

Mr O'Brien said, "I was very happy to assist our wonderful Men's Shed and write to the Minister for Public Transport seeking assistance to get the floor completed. I am very grateful that the Minister has now written back and indicated that VicTrack will indeed go ahead and fully concrete the floor of the new shed."
"This is a small thing and a relatively small cost to VicTrack but will make a huge difference to the ability of the Men's Shed to use the new facility. This is a very large indoor area and likely will also be used for storage by other community groups in Korumburra. I congratulate Milpara and the Korumburra Men's Shed for their advocacy and for the services that they continue to provide to members of the Korumburra community." Mr O'Brien concluded.
