will be held at the Latrobe Regional Airport on Saturday 8 September.

Latrobe City’s chief executive officer, Paul Buckley, said the supplementary collection would allow residents who were disappointed at being turned away due to the overwhelming response on 11 August, to responsibly dispose of their unwanted chemicals such as paints, weedkillers and cleaning products.

"Council has already had more than 50 residents who were turned away from the collection on 11 August, register for the supplementary collection. However, we are also aware that there may be many more people who left the queue in frustration at waiting for long periods of time, or took one look at the long queue and had second thoughts about joining it in the first place. We urge these residents to also register with council so that their needs can be met," Mr Buckley said.

"Residents who register will be allocated a preferred period of time to attend the collection, so any wait should be minimal," Mr Buckley added.

Residents turned away from the collection, or who chose not to join the queue on 11 August, should register with council by telephoning 1300 367 700.
