Community is invited to launch of Big Screen at Gippsland Performing Arts Centre on 18-20 November 2022
Latrobe City Council is inviting community members to join and celebrate the launch of the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) Big Screen this weekend.
Across three nights and two days, a whole program of movies will be available for community members to enjoy for free, at the launching of the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) Big Screen this weekend. The line-up for this weekend includes:
- Friday 18 November at 7.00pm - Saving Mr Banks
- Saturday 19 November at 10.00am - The Mighty Ducks
- Saturday 19 November at 6.00pm - The Muppets
- Saturday 19 November at 8.15pm - La La Land
- Sunday 20 November at 10.00am - Night at the Museum
- Sunday 20 November at 6.00pm - Fantastic Mr Fox
There is no need to register or book tickets, just bring your own seat and find your spot in the outdoor space in front of the big screen.

Mayor of Latrobe City, Councillor Kellie O'Callaghan looked forward to seeing the community enjoy the Big Screen as part of the offerings at Gippsland Performing Arts Centre. "We have a weekend full of fun and free activities as we open the much-anticipated Big Screen located on Grey Street at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre on Friday night."
"Council is proud to offer this family-friendly weekend for free so everyone can enjoy watching family favourites, musicals and inspiring arts. This is just one initiative of many where creative arts programs and events are being made accessible for our community. While there is no need to register please remember this is a first in, best dressed event. There is a lot of space for us to take advantage of but get in early for a great spot," said the Mayor.
Food trucks will also be available, with snacks available for purchase. Further information is available at the GPAC Big Screen Launch website.
