Inverloch set to host first ever Bass Coast Yoga FestivalFirst ever Yoga Festival to be held in Bass Coast Shire, leaded by well-trained yoga instructors. By news@gippsland - 21st April 2021 - Back to News A two day celebration of yoga & mindfulness. The Bass Coast Yoga Festival will feature over 26 yoga instructors from the local area and beyond. A diverse program of more than 30 classes will allow people of all ages and ability levels to embrace a variety of yoga styles and wellbeing workshops.
Yoga focuses on poses designed to stimulate inner peace and physical energy revolving around and cultivating mental focus and expanding spiritual energy
Community-driven event
Yoga Festival Australia is pleased to announce its first-ever Bass Coast Yoga Festival hosted in conjunction with the Bass Coast Council. This nationally successful yoga festival is headed to Inverloch for the first time.
Modern yoga is a popular exercise that focuses on breathing, strength, and flexibility, practicing yoga may provide many physical and mental health benefits
This community-driven celebration of yoga offers people a unique opportunity to try multiple deeply relaxing and invigorating yoga styles over one expansive weekend. This inaugural event features a compelling line-up of incredible local and special guest yoga teachers.

Offering workshops and classes in yoga, movement, meditation, and mindfulness. The perfect weekend for absolute beginners and seasoned Yogis alike. The festival is a space to experience the mental, and physical wellbeing Yoga creates in a supportive community environment.
Background information
The Bass Coast Yoga Festival is created by Rosie Richards who also runs the Starlight Festival & Bendigo Yoga Festival. These festivals enable local yoga instructors & business to connect with visitors and the wider yogic community.
"The Bass Coast Yoga Festival is a special chance to for people to sample a wide range of experiences and different styles of Yoga, Soundbaths and Mindfulness. It’s a unique weekend because these yoga classes aren’t ordinarily available under one roof together. I hope people can be inspired to start or continue their own daily practice of Yoga at the festival."
Meet some of the Yoga Festival instructors
Yoga classes will be headed by well trained instructors, an opportunity to every Victorian to grab. And they are as follows:
Robyn Hridaya
Joyfully practising Yoga for over 25 years. Guided to Yoga Teacher Training as a mature student at the age of 41.Teaching a traditional Yoga class Asana (physical practices) Pranayama (breathing practices) Meditation (various practices) and Yoga Nidra (Satyananda Linage) in Inverloch for over 7 years
Annebelle van Tongeren
Annebelle, from The Yoga Stylist offers all level classes in a Slow Flow style at Soul Space Wonthaggi and Saltwater House Inverloch with an emphasis on breath awareness, inclusivity and mindful attention on how you’re feeling right at this moment in your body, your mind and your heart
Amy McDonald
Amy McDonald has been a student of Yoga for the past 30 years. She started teaching in 2009 and continues to work with her teacher – Noah Maze – to improve how she shares and facilitates her strong, smart and sweaty alignment-based Yoga classes
Ilaria Bruck
Originally from Italy, Ilaria has been practising yoga consistently for the last 10 years, first in the UK, and now here in Australia. Trained in the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa style, but enthusiastic about all yoga styles, her personal practice is strong, but mindful
