Boosting Safety and Reliability on Baw Baw Roads

Reliable and safe roads with Fixing Country Roads Program.

More local roads, bridges and intersections will be upgraded across regional and rural Victoria as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s Fixing Country Roads Program, meaning safer and more reliable journeys for drivers.

Baw Baw Shire Council has secured a portion of the $70 million in second round funding for additional road improvement projects.

People travelling on Yarragon-Shady Creek Road will benefit from two kilometres of wider and more stable road between Reserve Road and North Canal Road.

Parts of Neerim North Road will be widened, resealed and receive improved drainage – improving safety for all driving conditions.

Round one projects are on track for completion by mid-2019, while round two projects must be delivered by June 30, 2020.
