Library School Holiday Program Set To EntertainLatrobe City Libraries is presenting a fun-packed holiday program for all children during the April school holidays. By Latrobe City - 2nd April 2012 - Back to News Latrobe City libraries coordinator, Deb Skinner, said that week one would see the Diamonte Mini Circus entertain the young and the young at heart.
"This vaudevillian clown and dog show is a must see family show. Mother and daughter team, Audrey and Pamela, present a classic old time dog show using the talents of several adorable mutts. Clowns, puppets and incredible performing poodles make this a show not to be missed.
The Diamonte Mini Circus will appear on Tuesday 3 April at Traralgon Library from 10.30am to11.15am and Morwell Library from 1pm to 1.45pm and on Wednesday 4 April at the Churchill Community Hub from 11.30am to12.15pm and at Moe Library from 2.30pm to 3.15pm.
This show is suitable for children aged 4 and over.
Ms Skinner added that in Week Two there would be a performance by Mr Badger recounting the story of The Wind in the Willows.
"Mr Badger presents the classic tale in his own kindly way as Mr Toad, Ratty and Mole enjoy their adventures on the Riverbank, the Open Road, the Wild Wood and Toad Hall.
"This is a unique storytelling performance which has toured many libraries throughout Australia. Its presentation harks back to a bygone era with simple props and without technical wizardry and as such it stimulates young imaginations and inspires them to read the classic work on which it is based.
The Wind in the Willows will be presented on Wednesday 11 April at Traralgon Library from 10.30am to 11.10 am, Morwell Library from 1pm to 1.40pm and Moe Library from 3 pm to 3.40 pm.
This program is suitable for children aged 5 years and over.
