Labor opens new junior school facilities at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Drouin campusThe Allan Labor government opened new junior school facilities at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Drouin Campus following a $9.1 million investment supporting modern learning spaces, staff amenities and improved facilities for students. By news@gippsland - 26th May 2026 - Back to News The Allan Labor government is ensuring every child can attend a great local school. That's why we are investing in new facilities and classroom upgrades for low-fee non-government schools. Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing today announced that the new Junior School building and learning facilities at St Paul's Anglican Grammar School's Drouin Campus are officially open.
A $9.1 million investment delivered modern collaborative classrooms, shared learning spaces, staff amenities and additional parking at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Drouin Campus Modern learning spacesLabor has invested $6 million in the project, with St Paul's Anglican Grammar School contributing $3.1 million. Students and staff are now learning and working in flexible, modern spaces designed for collaboration. The Junior School building features six new learning areas linked to shared indoor and outdoor spaces. School staff are also benefitting - with new collaborative spaces, amenities and car parking. Labor has invested nearly $1 billion to build, expand and renovate Victoria's low-fee non-government schools. This investment is making sure families can access schools with world-class facilities, close to home. When the Liberals and Nationals were in government, they slashed $1 billion from education. Do they back low-fee non-government school communities, or will they cut support for them? For more information, visit Victorian School Building Authority website. Backing regional educationDeputy Premier and Education Minister Ben Carroll said, "By investing in low-fee non-government schools, we're making sure students in regional areas can access a word-class education close to home. Only Labor is investing in low-fee non-government schools in Gippsland, because we back our regional communities. Will the Liberals and Nationals back this investment, or will they cut it?" Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing said, "It's been a delight to advocate alongside St Paul's and the wonderful school community for this funding, and to see the new junior campus take shape. It's another example of the work we are doing to fund, build and upgrade schools, kinders and TAFE campuses right across Gippsland, to provide kids, teachers and staff with the best facilities to thrive."
