"Junior Country Cup " again at Albury last weekend. Over the weekend 11 country associations
competeted against each other over 2 longs days of competition. Each team had to bowl 10
games each day to decide the final Junior country cup winner. Each team was made up of
3 femal bowlers and 3 male bowlers. Only four patricipated at any one time 2 girls and 2 boys.
When ever substituting a bowler it had to be of the same sex. Latrobe Valley hit the front for the
first time on the last game on the first day anf then never surrendered its lead at any stage on day 2.
In fact the second day saw Latrobe Valley take full control of the competition and got stronger as the day
wore on. Brett Lacey , Bebra Bosma and Katie Arnold were the top 3 averages for the tournament , and both
girls have also made the Victorian Junior State team to bowl off against all the States in Melbourne in June 2003.
