Latrobe City Mentors Donate 6,800 Hours to Local LearnersLatrobe City Mentors will provide 6,800 hours supervising local learner drivers with its 10-year anniversary. By Portal Admin - 3rd November 2019 - Back to News Latrobe City mentors have clocked more than 6,800 hours supervising local learner drivers as part of the Andrews Labor Government and the TACs L2P program which this year marks its 10-year anniversary in the area.
Latrobe City L2P is a learner driver mentor program that matches learners without access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to a volunteer and sponsored vehicle to help them reach the 120 hours they need to get their Ps.
Since its launch in 2009, more than 200 local learners and 86 mentors have taken part in the Latrobe City program.
State-wide the TAC L2P program has helped over 6,000 learners get their probationary licence and mentors have supervised over half a million hours of driving.
L2P is free for eligible learner drivers and is funded by the TAC and is managed by VicRoads Community Programs team.
