Sedale Threatt, son of the former NBA great with the same name, should provide more stability at the point guard position after the departure of Rhys Carter last season.

Threatt played with Weaver during the recent AND1 Tour and has been training with the Club for the past two weeks.

The Club is anxiously waiting for paperwork to be finalized that will see Threatt play the opening games this weekend at Frankston.

President David Roberts said that it was all in the hands of Basketball Australia and the Immigration Department now.

"We are pleased to welcome Sedale and believe he will add a new dimension to the team. He will definitely be a feature at our first home game in just over a weeks time" Roberts said.

"The team is coming along well with 25 people registered to play for both the Pacers and Energy"

"Sedale has already shown his leadership skills on the court at training and we trust this will make a big difference to the team"

Threatt at age 23 has been playing in the NCAA Division 2 (National Collegiate Athletic Association) for California State University Bakersfield and has an impressive record for both assists and steals.

Pacers first home game is Saturday 19th of March at Moe.
