The breakfast will be of great interest to business owners and managers, with it showcasing innovation in Gippsland’s business community, providing information about business development programs available from local, Victorian and Federal Government and also serving as an invaluable networking opportunity.

Key note speakers will include:

  • Merryn Neilson from Maffra-based digital media company, DM3D Studios which has undertaken work for space agency NASA; and
  • Keith Bell of award-winning fishing enterprise K & C Fisheries.

The Gippsland Innovation Festival, now in its third year, will run from 27 April to 16 May and organisers estimate it will attract nearly 10,000 people to innovative events across the region. The council is supporting a number of activities including the business breakfast and the Biotech Australia Forum.

This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating Innovation in Regional Life’, with a focus on making innovation accessible to the whole community,
