The Y will collaborate with Council to provide industry-leading programs that deliver improved recreation, health and wellbeing outcomes to the community while ensuring GRAC's financial sustainability. In addition to core operational duties at GRAC, the collaboration with the Y will provide educational opportunities and significant social and economic benefits to the community, including employing local people, and purchasing goods and services locally wherever possible.

Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Sharon Gibson said since the Y began running GRAC, the community have shown their approval with their feet, with an expected 400,000 visits in 2026 alone! "After more than five years of the Y running GRAC, it's clear they are doing it right."

"GRAC has more than 3,700 members, including around 300 people who have been there since the very beginning. That's a great deal of people who clearly love the place! I'm delighted to see them continue to run GRAC and look forward to where they take the Centre in the next 5 years," said the Mayor.
