Baw Baw Shire Mayor, Cr Danny Goss, commented on the session, "Today was a great opportunity for us to open the doors and engage the community in the first of what will become a regular series of briefings. Council is committed to hosting open community briefings on topics of community interest and significance."

"These sessions are about being transparent and engaging with our community, and we hope to do more over the coming weeks and months," he said. Following the Open Community Briefing, Council will continue to progress discussions with relevant stakeholders regarding flood mapping work, with the matter set to return to a future Council briefing.
