ArtCubes to a town near you!
We are excited to announce a new community-based art initiative from South Gippsland Shire - the ArtCubes project. ArtCubes is the name we have given to three cube containers that are about to be transformed into portable, adaptable, experimental creative spaces.
Each cube is solar-powered and designed to safely house creative installations with open or closed doors. Viewing is also available through the windows. The ArtCubes can be transported anywhere, bringing innovative experiences to every corner of the Shire.
The ArtCubes will be launching in the coming months (details TBA) and will change location on a seasonal basis. For all enquiries please contact:
- Mary Sullivan (Arts Development Officer)
- mary.sullivan@southgippsland.vic.gov.au

Some funding will be available to assist with hosting the ArtCubes, so if you are interested in this project, please let us know.
Lumpy skin disease is a viral disease of cattle and buffalo that can result in animal welfare issues and significant production losses
Lumpy skin disease
Council is working closely with Agriculture Victoria through the Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee and Gippsland Dairy Industry Leadership Group to raise awareness of Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and Lumpy skin disease.
A biosecurity management plan is an essential tool for farmers who want to prevent, eliminate, and minimise biosecurity risks on-farm. A biosecurity plan promotes good hygiene practices and controls the movement of livestock, people and equipment onto agricultural properties. More information can be found in Foot and Mouth Disease page.
