Interested residents of Erica, Rawson and the wider community are invited to attend the open day, which will provide an opportunity to have a tour inside the treatment facility and learn more about how water is treated and delivered to customers.

During the open day the treatment plant will be officially opened. To celebrate the opening, Gippsland Water will host a free barbecue lunch, offer guided tours of the facility and provide the community with an opportunity to talk to Gippsland Water representatives. There will also be face painting, show bags and balloons for the children.

The Erica and Rawson Water Treatment Plant was constructed to provide a reliable source of quality drinking water to residents of Rawson and Erica.

Gippsland Water invested $2.6 million in the water treatment plant, which was commissioned in November 2006.

The Erica and Rawson Water Treatment Plant opening will be held from 11am to 12.30pm at the water treatment plant which is located on the Thomson Valley Road in Rawson.
