New Men's Shed Workshop at Neerim Junction on digital technology funded $80,000 from Victorian governmentCouncil has entered a community lease with Neerim District Community House and Men's Shed to develop a workshop facility located at the former Neerim Junction Tennis Courts, at 17 Court Rd, Neerim Junction. By news@gippsland - 21st October 2021 - Back to News Baw Baw Shire Council supports the initiative and have entered a tenancy agreement with the group under a peppercorn lease. Having secured $80,000 from the State Government, the group has plans to build a new Men's Shed Workshop at Neerim Junction to provide them with support and networking opportunities for new members.

Danny Goss Digital technology set upgradeThe funding will allow the group to operate at the facility at a minimal cost and ensure the current unused location can be transformed into a valuable community space. The Neerim District Men's Shed has operated for 10 years with approximately 50 members from communities across the north of Baw Baw Shire. The group arrange community activities like morning coffee, evening fellowship meetings, walking groups, book reading, theatre groups, and community projects. The new workshop is set to embrace digital technology with a vehicle maintenance bay and working areas for members. The workshop is estimated for completion by April 2022 and will provide a valuable community asset for Neerim District Community House and Men's Shed and all stakeholders involved.
