Gippsland has long been in need of one website that can satisfy the needs of its localized audience. At first, we thought that we had found the answer in a website entitled Home.Gippslander.com

Home.Gippslander.com is a locally owned and managed website that has become renowned for being a centralized Internet location that acts as a gateway to Gippsland online.

This website features local community, business and entertainment news; classifieds, events and jobs notices; tourism and accommodation information; weather updates and even cinema times.

Home.Gippslander.com offers visitors the opportunity to play an interactive role in the website and gives users a voice with the ability to register their own news, classifieds and jobs notices for display.

Then came Gippsland.com, which identified a whole new area of need in the way of Internet-based consumer to business to communication.

This website, in vast comparison to Home.Gippslander.com, was formed as the on-line contact and service directory for Gippsland. It is expected to become the one place on the Internet where you will be able to find every current business or community group that is located in Gippsland.

The webmasters of Home.Gippslander.com and Gippsland.com began to receive many inquiries via e-mail, fax and phone as to the difference between the two websites. It became very difficult for users to distinguish the address of the website that they were looking for.

The obvious step from here? To create the answer to the user’s need for one website that caters for the Gippsland user’s information requirements and diminishes the multi-website confusion. How? By merging the two websites into one.

When the transformation is complete, the virtual Gippsland will surface online. Users will be able to log on to one location for all of the Gippsland related information that they require.

The website will be user-friendly, entertaining, and jam-packed with all of the Gippsland news, reviews and previews that you could hope to find on the web.
